Creative Restaurant Promotion In Central

I saw this promotion under the Central-Mid Levels escalator system in Central. A man was dressing in an appearance of a cook. The plastic clothing covers his whole body. When I was taking a photo of him, he kindly replied me with a waving hand. This makes a good interaction between the chef and the citizens. Large logos "Fat Angelos" can be seen on the body and the hat, showing the restaurant he is promoting. The restaurant is located in Soho, which it very close to the place he is standing.

A large proportion of the body is red and white, with a little green. The red and white colors make a large contrast and are very sharp. This create an visual effect to attract the passer-by. The three colors also matches with the logo of the restaurant. At least a lot of people slow down their pace of walking in much a business district. Some people just like me are taking photos of him by mobile phones or cameras.

I have saw it in many places such as Causeway Bay, where its another branch is located. This generates an repetitive power to make people memorize it, not only recognize it.

The head of it is different from the "Chef's Hat", which is a universal symbol for cooks and gastronomy. The hat is a common sign in guide books used to denote restaurants and to categorize their standard of cooking. IT covers the hat and serves a hygience purpose and professional expertise in cooking and bringing an enjoyable dining experience to the diners.

However, the one used by Fat Angelos is different from the traditional chefs hat. Firstly, the height of the hat is shortened. I think this reduces the feeling of seriousness, stress and authority of the chef.

What's more, the shape of the mastache is changes to a longer and thinner shape to reduce the feeling of power, solemn and strict.
