My Painting "Something About Myself"

I made this painting last week beacuse I have taken the pinting course in the Academy of Visual Arts of HKBU. I use aryclic to draw on canvas. The size of it is 32 inches x 24 inches. The topic of it is "something about myself".

I love travelling. During long holidays, I always go travelling with my parents and friends. Apt from visiting tourist spots, I can experience the culture in different countries, and interact with people of different races and backgrounds. Besides, I can understand more about humanities an dhistory of different parts of the world. Apart from that, I can know more about different architectural styles in the modern and at the past of different places. I can visit many museums and art galleries all over the world. These all benefits my studies.

Moreover, the most enjoyable thing is that we can escape from the pressure of studying, examinations and working. These keeps us both mentally and physically healthy.

I want to transform my enthusiatic and love of travelling in my painting. I show my experience and happiness of travelling though different visual elements, including postcards, photos, sovenirs, caompass and the map as the background.

After the critics, I learn a lot from comments of the professor and opinions of my classmates. My map as the bakground can be lighter in color to make a contrast and emphasises the objects on the top of it.
